Building the floor up, coat by coat

We roll a primer into the ground concrete. It fuses into the slab and forms the bond that stops a coating from ever peeling. Once it has cured, the pigmented base coat is applied across the whole floor.

The finish goes on next. For flake the flakes are broadcast into the wet base coat until it is fully covered, and the excess is scraped back once it has cured to leave the even texture. For solid color a second coat of color follows. For metallic the tinted resin is poured and worked by hand. For grind and seal the clean concrete takes the clear sealer in place of a base coat.

Every coated floor is sealed under the clear polyaspartic topcoat. It is the layer that takes the chairs, the carts, the disinfectant and the nightly mop, and it keeps the color true and the surface glossy for the life of the floor.
