What a coated basement floor gives you
One continuous surface bonded straight to the slab. No grout lines, no board edges, no void underneath, and no organic material anywhere in the build for damp to get into or for anything to grow on. Spills wipe up rather than soak in, the whole floor washes down with a mop, and there is no seam anywhere for dirt to collect in.
It adds effectively no height, which matters more downstairs than it sounds. With ductwork overhead and a low riser at the bottom of the stairs, a floor that builds up half an inch is a floor you notice every day. You pick the color and the sheen, and we bring samples into the room so you are choosing under the lights that will actually be there.
Finished floors we have installed are on the gallery. Every quote states what we found in the slab, the preparation, the coats and the topcoat, so you can hold it against anything else you have been sent.
